The announcement was made by Panama’s President José Raúl Mulino, who mentioned the regional summit was deliberate for Panama. Mulino revealed that six to seven presidents had already confirmed their attendance for the summit in Panama. Nonetheless, given that almost all of those leaders shall be within the Dominican Republic for Abinader’s inauguration, Mulino urged holding the assembly there, with Abinader’s permission.
