GEORGETOWN, Guyana, CMC – The Caribbean Neighborhood (CARICOM) grouping says it’s making important strides in the direction of enhancing ocean governance and sustainable administration of marine sources.
The 15-member regional grouping stated that, with the assist of a £190,000 (One British pound = US #1.29 cents) grant from the UK’s Overseas, Commonwealth & Improvement Workplace (UK FCDO), the Guyana-based CARICOM Secretariat is embarking on a complete initiative to develop a strong framework for sustainable ocean administration.
Titled ‘In the direction of A Caribbean Neighborhood (CARICOM) Framework for Strengthening Oceans Governance – Efficient Engagement within the Worldwide Oceans Agenda,’ the undertaking goals to assist the collaborative growth of a CARICOM Blue Financial system Coverage.
