    ‘Big Up Kamala’ goes viral with almost half million views – Caribbean Life

    Jamaican reggae artiste Richie Stephens is warming hearts within the US along with his current single, “Massive Up Kamala Harris. ” Since social media influencer Sherry Southe-Tyme posted it on Fb, it has racked up 443,000 views/performs.

    Vice President Kamala Harris is the Democratic presidential nominee who will face off towards former President Donald J. Trump within the Presidential Elections on Nov. 5.

    Southe-Tyme mentioned she was startled when the publish began racking up hundreds of performs on her web page every day.

    “I posted the tune on Aug. 28, and I used to be very shocked on the response that the tune obtained,” she advised Caribbean Life on Monday. “I began receiving notifications that varied individuals had been following me. At one level, I obtained over 1,000 new followers in sooner or later.

    “The tune helps with Kamala’s visibility within the Diaspora,” she added. “Many Jamaicans within the Diaspora establish with this tune, primarily due to her Jamaican roots and, most significantly, as a result of the tune was written by a Jamaican.

    “I believe {that a} video for the tune would even be useful,” Southe-Tyme continued.

    Harris, the daughter of retired Jamaican-born economist Dr. Donald Harris and the late Dr. Shyamala Gopalan of India, rose via the California political and regulation enforcement ranks to turn into the primary feminine vice chairman in US historical past.

    Stephens mentioned he was impressed to write down the tune by the vice chairman’s brilliance and her Caribbean roots. 

    “I respect the brilliance of Vice President Kamala Harris,” he advised Caribbean Life. “And no matter what some naysayers say, her roots are Jamaican and Indian, which can’t be modified.”

    Stephens mentioned “Massive Up Kamala” has gone viral with none promotion.

    “All of it occurred organically, and the suggestions is overwhelmingly optimistic,” he mentioned. “Individuals simply grabbed the tune and ran with it due to the sound, and it’s relatable.

    “And it’s not simply these from the Jamaican/Caribbean Diaspora who love the tune,” he added. “Individuals are intrigued by the tune.”
