Jamaican artistes Beenie Man, Buju Banton, and Burning Spear, are among the many nominees for Finest Reggae Album on the 66th Grammy Awards.
The nominations had been introduced on Friday morning.
Rounding out the nominees are Bermudian singer Collie Buddz and Julian Marley & Antaeus.
The albums nominated are: No Destroyer by Burning Spear; Buju Banton’s Born For Greatness; Beenie Man’s Simma; Colours of Royal by Julian Marley & Antaeus; and Cali Roots Riddim 2023 by Collie Buddz.
This marks Beenie Man’s fourth nomination, following Many Moods Of Moses, The Physician, and Artwork and Life, which gained the Grammy Award in 2001.
Simma, which options collaborations from Shaggy, Sean Paul, Louie Tradition, Famous person, HoodCelebrityy, Charly Blacks, Dexta Daps, Shenseea in addition to worldwide stars Stonebwoy and Mya, is Beenie Man’s seventeenth studio album.
Buju Banton’s venture ‘Born For Greatness,” follows his final nomination in 2020.
