Caribbean: Barbados secured the gold medal in Stage III of the mathematics Olympiad within the second Caribbean Science Basis (CSF) STEM Olympiads, which was held in a digital format from January 17 to 21, 2024.
Barbados picked up a gold medal in Stage III of the mathematics Olympiad by “Workforce Psi-Kicks” consisting of Simeon Inexperienced, Ian Francis, and Tyreke Jones who’re at the moment attending The College of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus.
Round 100 and thirty-one college students from 11 Caribbean international locations competed in STEM Olympiads. Queen’s Faculty crew, “Random Stroll” made up with Aian Deane-Warner and Nalani Chassang earned the bronze medal in Stage II of the mathematics Olympiad.
The mathematics Olympiad was held in a jeopardy-style format and lined subjects starting from shopper arithmetic to vector calculus.
