UNITED NATIONS, CMC – The United Nations Secretary-Common António Guterres, on Friday, introduced the appointment of Nicole Flora Boni Kouassi of Côte d’Ivoire as his new Deputy Particular Consultant for the United Nations Built-in Workplace in Haiti (BINUH) and Resident Coordinator in Haiti.
She may also function Humanitarian Coordinator. Boni Kouassi succeeds Ingeborg Ulrika Ulfsdotter Richardson of Sweden, whom the Secretary-Common thanked for her “devoted service and steadfast dedication to the United Nations”.

Boni Kouassi brings over 22 years of UN expertise to this place, with in depth expertise in growth, peace and safety, and humanitarian work. She has been serving because the United Nations Growth Programme (UNDP) Resident Consultant in Niger since 2022.
Earlier than that, she held the place of UNDP Resident Consultant in Burundi from 2019 to 2022 and served as Resident and Humanitarian Coordinator advert interim in 2021.
