WASHINGTON, CMC – The Inter-American Fee on Human Rights (IACHR) Friday referred to as on member states of the Group of American States (OAS) to adjust to the aims of the Second Decade for Folks of African Descent on recognition, justice and growth.
In a message commemorating the Worldwide Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination on Friday and the Worldwide Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Slavery and the Transatlantic Slave Commerce on March 25, the IACHR mentioned it’s urging states to adjust to the aims of the Second Decade for Folks of African Descent on recognition, justice, and growth.
In December 2013, the UN Basic Meeting adopted decision 68/237, which proclaimed the interval from 2015 to 2024 because the Worldwide Decade for Folks of African Descent, with aims to ensure the rights of this inhabitants and their equal participation in society.
