    Vindhya Persaud leads Guyana’s delegation to UN 69th Commission on The Status of Women – Caribbean Life

    Dr. Vindhya Persaud minister of Human Providers and Social Safety, is main Guyana’s delegation to the 69th Session of the Fee on the Standing of Girls, being held on the United Nations Headquarters in New York, from March 10 to 21, 2025.

    In accordance with Guyana’s information company, the delegation includes Ms. Arianna Beharry, Deputy Everlasting Secretary (Administration), Ministry of Human Providers and Social Safety, Dr. Cona Husbands, Gender Based mostly Violence Specialist and Supervisor, Sexual Offences & Home Violence Coverage Unit, Ministry of Human Providers and Social Safety and Mrs. Sarah Browne-Shadeek, Parliamentary Secretary.

    Her Excellency Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett, Everlasting Consultant, Ambassador Trishala Persaud, Deputy Everlasting Consultant, Ms. Texine Daw, First Secretary and Abosede Hazlewood, Second Secretary, comprise the group from Guyana’s Everlasting Mission to the UN.

    The main focus of the Session will probably be on the evaluation and appraisal of the implementation of the Beijing Declaration and Platform for Motion and the outcomes of the twenty third Particular Session of the Normal Meeting.

    The evaluation will embody an evaluation of present challenges that have an effect on the implementation of the Platform for Motion and the achievement of gender equality and the empowerment of girls and its contribution in direction of the complete realization of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Growth, based on Guyana’s information company.
