    Shallow, Bassarath to lead CWI for 2nd consecutive term – Caribbean Life

    After being elected unopposed for a second consecutive time period to guide the area’s cricket physique, CWI President Dr. Kishore Shallow mentioned, “Being unopposed for a second time period is a powerful endorsement of the management and route we now have taken at Cricket West Indies.”

    A latest CWI launch mentioned Shallow’s re-election was a testomony to the boldness and help he continues to obtain from the area’s fraternity.

    Shallow’s nomination was put ahead by the Trinidad and Tobago Cricket Board (TTCB) and the Leeward Islands Cricket Board.

    On his re-election. Shallow mentioned, “It speaks to the extent of confidence in our imaginative and prescient and the progress we now have made in stabilising and advancing West Indies cricket. Now, we should construct on that progress, staying centered on the duty at hand and never permitting ourselves to be distracted from our final objective. We’re one in goal, working collectively for the betterment of West Indies cricket.”

    CWI vp and TTCB President Azim Bassarath was additionally re-elected unopposed following his nomination by the Jamaica Cricket Affiliation and the Windward Islands Cricket Board.

    Bassarath mentioned, “It could be a privilege to proceed serving as vp of Cricket West Indies. The eagerness and dedication of everybody concerned in our cricketing ecosystem evokes me each day.

    “As we search to embark on a brand new time period, I’m dedicated to making sure we proceed to make selections that profit our gamers, followers, and the way forward for West Indies cricket. I thank all our members for his or her confidence, and I sit up for working collectively for the betterment of the sport.”

    Their new time period begins on March 29.
