President of Guyana, Dr Irfaan Ali has been chosen to switch Dr Keith Rowley as the brand new chairman of the CARICOM subcommittee on cricket.

The announcement was made by outgoing chairman Dr Rowley on Friday throughout the ultimate day of the forty eighth CARICOM Heads of Authorities assembly in Barbados.
Dr Rowley revealed it could be his ultimate CARICOM assembly and mentioned Dr Ali had been chosen as the brand new chairman.

“At the moment I handed over to the plenary chosen, or agreed to pick, my colleague… my colleague from Guyana, who’s an eminent cricketer, as you understand, President Dr Irfaan Ali to now take the chairmanship of the subcommittee on cricket,” Dr Rowley mentioned.
