TAMARAC – On Wednesday, December 11, the Metropolis of Tamarac held an everyday Metropolis Fee assembly. Throughout this assembly, the Fee appointed Dr. Kicia Daniel as Vice Mayor. She is the District 4 Commissioner. The vote was unanimous.
Dr. Daniel has been on the Tamarac Metropolis Fee since November 2022. She can also be a Director on the Broward League of Cities Board for 2024-2025.
“I’m honored to step into the function of Vice Mayor of Tamarac,” stated Dr. Daniel. “I’ll proceed to work alongside my fellow elected officers and residents to satisfy the wants of Tamarac households, companies and constituents.”
Dr. Daniel’s appointment marks a historic milestone. She turns into the primary African American girl to serve on this capability within the Metropolis’s 61-year historical past.
Dr. Daniel is a pacesetter in training. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Training from Florida Agricultural and Mechanical College.
