    ‘Chocolate Boy’ trending on social media – Caribbean Life

    New Jersey-based, Guyanese-born music producer Paul Andrew Abrams, also referred to as “Drewgad,” who grew up listening to soca music, is excitedly bursting on the seams, given his success within the dancehall/reggae house.

    “Chocolate Boy,” an R&B-inspired dancehall single that Drewgad co-produced with Ridwaan Razak from Georgetown, Guyana, options the vocals of Guyanese-born Nesta and Nigy Boy. The music is trending on social media.

    “Chocolate Boy” has amassed over 250,000 views on Fb and over 100,000 views on Instagram, Jamaican-born, New York-based leisure publicist Anthony Turner instructed Caribbean Life on Monday.

    Turner mentioned the one’s “attractive music video” was formally launched on Nov. 17 and has 112,000 views on YouTube.

    “Nesta’s mom was considered one of my vocal lecturers once I was rising up in Guyana, and we used to go to the identical church,” Drewgad instructed Caribbean Life.

    “We’re household mates. She is a gifted singer. I knew this music would blow up in Guyana and wherever followers love good music,” he added, stating that “Chocolate Boy” gave him some problem to get the precise sound.

    Turner mentioned Paul’s discography is “fairly spectacular, having labored on Jeezum (Skillebeng and Nigy Boy) and different huge hits like ‘Continent,’ ‘Judgment,‘ ‘Nomad,‘ ‘Karma,‘ ‘Get Wild,‘ ‘Energetic‘ and Lover not a Fighter‘ by Nigy.”

    Talking about Reggae/dancehall music in his beginning nation, Drewgad shared that the style is big there.

    “Of late, I observed an amazing shift within the Guyanese music business,“ he mentioned. “The youths are getting extra energetic and inventive.
