The federal government of St. Vincent and the Grenadines unequivocally condemns the current dastardly assault on the official residence of the Head of Mission of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in Khartoum, Sudan, occasioning in depth injury to the diplomatic premises. The UAE has publicly denounced the Sudanese military as being the attacker. The Sudanese military has not assumed any duty for this heinous act.
This assault is a flagrant violation of worldwide legislation. The diplomatic premises, together with the official residence of accredited diplomats, are protected underneath worldwide legislation. The blatant disregard of the basic authorized principle of the inviolability of diplomatic premises is an affront to all member-states of the United Nations. It thus calls for unequivocal condemnation by all right-thinking peoples and nations.
The Authorities of St. Vincent and the Grenadines joins the worldwide group of their denunciation of this unlawful act. It additional requires an assumption of full duty by the perpetrators of this unlawful act, a full apology, applicable recompense, and an enterprise to abide by the requisites of worldwide legislation.
