Mark Golding, the president of Jamaica’s Opposition Individuals’s Nationwide Occasion (PNP), is mourning the lack of his mom, Woman Patricia Golding, who handed away on the age of 92. Golding shared the information of her passing final Friday morning by a message on X, previously often called Twitter.
“Stroll Good Mum. You’ll eternally reside on in our hearts and in our recollections. We miss and love you,” Golding wrote in tribute to his mom.
Following the announcement, tributes poured in from throughout the nation, with many providing condolences to the Golding household. Prime Minister Andrew Holness was amongst these to specific sympathy, stating, “On behalf of the Authorities and folks of Jamaica, I prolong heartfelt condolences to Mr. Mark Golding and his household on the passing of his beloved mom, Woman Patricia Golding. Might her soul relaxation in peace.”
Born on December 24, 1931, in England, Woman Patricia Golding spent a lot of her life in Jamaica, having grown up in Savanna-la-Mar, Westmoreland, in addition to Kingston and St. Andrew. She attended St Andrew Excessive College earlier than pursuing her sociology diploma in England.
Woman Golding had a distinguished profession in public service, beginning in 1953 as an administrative cadet on the Colonial Secretariat, later serving within the Ministry of Commerce and Trade and the Central Planning Unit. In 1961, she married orthopaedic surgeon Dr. John Golding, additional cementing her legacy inside Jamaica’s distinguished households.
