Saint Vincent and the Grenadines has formally established diplomatic relations with Zambia, paving the best way for enhanced collaboration and mutual understanding. The settlement was signed on September 24 by Frederick Stephenson, Minister of Overseas Affairs, Overseas Commerce and Client Affairs of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, and Mulambo Haimbe, Zambia’s Minister of Overseas Affairs, through the 79th Session of the United Nations Common Meeting in New York.
With this settlement, St. Vincent joins a number of Caribbean nations which have diplomatic relations with Zambia together with Trinidad and Tobago, Bahamas, Jamaica, Antigua and Barbuda, Barbados, Guyana, Haiti, Cuba, Grenada, and Suriname.
“This milestone signifies the start of a brand new period of cooperation between our nations, highlighting our shared dedication to advancing mutual pursuits on the worldwide stage,” said SVG’s Ministry of Overseas Affairs.
Each ministers emphasised the significance of fostering nearer ties, recognizing alternatives for strengthened collaboration in areas similar to sustainable growth, training, local weather change resilience, commerce, and cultural change.
Stephenson stated Saint Vincent and the Grenadines is devoted to working with Zambia, which is a landlocked nation on the crossroads of Central, Southern and East Africa, to advertise the objectives of sustainable growth and solidarity.
