The federal government of Guyana has introduced plans for a nationwide funeral in honor of Sir Shridath Surendranath “Sonny” Ramphal, recognizing his impactful life and legacy.
President Irfaan Ali introduced on Saturday that the service will happen on September 14 on the Promenade Gardens in Georgetown, beginning at 3:00 PM (native time).
“Sir Shridath, a cherished son of Guyana and former Commonwealth Secretary-Normal, is well known as a large in international diplomacy. His lifelong service to Guyana, the Caribbean, the Commonwealth, and the broader world might be remembered,” President Ali mentioned.
