SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico (AP) — Forecasters on Monday issued a tropical storm warning for a number of islands within the northeast Caribbean as a disturbance approaches the area.
The warning was in impact for Antigua, Barbuda, Anguilla, St Kitts, Nevis, Montserrat, Guadeloupe, St Martin, St Barts and St Maarten.
A tropical storm watch was issued for Puerto Rico and the US and British Virgin Islands.
The National Hurricane Center stated the disturbance is predicted to develop into a tropical despair later Monday after which strengthen right into a tropical storm because it nears the northeast Caribbean.
