The Caribbean Neighborhood advises that, because of Hurricane Beryl’s impending passage by means of the Area, the forty seventh Common Assembly of CARICOM Heads of Authorities, scheduled for Grenada from 3-5 July, has been postponed to a date to be decided.
The first focus of the Neighborhood is now on citizen security and safety. A number of Member States, together with host nation Grenada, at the moment are engaged in emergency preparations and planning to deal with the aftermath of the hurricane.
We implore everybody within the path of this Hurricane to take all vital protecting measures.
The Neighborhood stands able to help our Member States which will probably be affected by this harmful hurricane.
