SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic, CMC – The Dominican Military says that within the final 24 hours, 109 Haitian migrants had been arrested on the border with Haiti.
The officers report that 30 Haitians – 23 males, 5 girls, and two minors had been intercepted within the city of Dajabón on Wednesday and handed over to the Basic Directorate of Migration for his or her subsequent repatriation.
On the identical day, in several sectors of the province of Monte Cristi, 79 unlawful Haitians – 56 males, 18 girls, and eight minors had been intercepted.
Based on military officers, because the disaster in Haiti worsens, every day, a minimum of 100 Haitians try to illegally enter the Dominican Republic within the Dajabón / Monte Cristi space.
