SALT LAKE CITY, CMC – United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) Enforcement (ICE) company says officers from its Enforcement Elimination Operations (ERO) apprehended a Cuban nationwide amongst eight unlawfully current noncitizen intercourse offenders as a part of a nationwide legislation enforcement effort.
On Wednesday, ICE stated the operation, which was performed from February 5 to February 16, “netted 275 noncitizens.”
The immigration enforcement company stated the Cuban nationwide, 32, was apprehended in Clark County, Nevada.
The Cuban was convicted of kidnapping, battery with intent to commit sexual assault, sexual assault, and coercion, ICE stated.
“Those that prey on kids are the worst of the worst, and ERO prioritizes these international nationals for elimination from our neighborhood,” stated ERO Salt Lake Metropolis Subject Workplace Director Michael Bernacke. “We are going to use our immigration authority to make sure the security of our most susceptible inhabitants.”
The announcement follows a nationwide enforcement effort in January during which 275 people “presenting a menace to public security” had been arrested.
