Because the nationwide strike led by lecturers in Guyana persists into its second week, the Guyana Academics Union (GTU) rejects the federal government’s claims of mismanagement of membership dues.
Regardless of the federal government’s assertions, the union maintains that there’s ample proof demonstrating the tangible advantages derived by lecturers from their month-to-month contributions of 700 Guyanese {dollars}.
