Jamaican authorities arrested six people, together with 4 staff of Norman Manley Worldwide Airport (NMIA), in coordinated anti-narcotics operations spanning St. Ann and the airport premises on Thursday.
Seizure valued at over $20 million
The operations yielded a considerable seizure of contraband, notably cocaine with an estimated worth exceeding $20 million.
Alongside 3.8 kilograms of cocaine, regulation enforcement confiscated 55 kilos of ganja, three motor autos, and over $1.2 million in money.
Cocaine hid in meals packages
Within the preliminary section of the operation, narcotics police intercepted two motor autos on the Eight Rivers Plaza in Ocho Rios.
A search uncovered 3.8 kilograms of cocaine ingeniously hid inside meals packages. Moreover, authorities apprehended the drivers of the autos and seized a sum of $118,000.

Ramp attendants implicated
Legislation enforcement then executed a raid at NMIA in Kingston.
A radical search of a motorized vehicle led to the invention of 25 kilograms of ganja hid inside a suitcase inside the trunk.
Concurrently, authorities seized $1.2 million discovered inside the automobile.

4 airport ramp attendants have been taken into custody, and the automobile was seized.
The estimated avenue worth of the ganja is $540,000.
Two of the ramp attendants have been later launched.
