The STAR has learnt of the loss of life of Chairman Emeritus of the St. Lucia Labour Get together, Tom Walcott. Walcott handed away within the early hours of Thursday morning after an extended battle with sickness.
On his instagram web page Prime Minister, and chief of the St. Lucia labour celebration, Philip Pierre wrote:
“Tom Walcott was my buddy, advisor, critic, consoler, and epitomised Labour. The information of his loss of life this morning took me on a journey of fond reminiscences, struggles, and victories.
From my entry into the politics of Saint Lucia, Tom’s unwavering help and loyalty guided me alongside a path which led me to changing into the Prime Minister of this nation, an achievement which I’m grateful that he received to witness.
Tom believed in service to his nation and his Get together. He was guided by a philosophy of “not what my celebration can do for me, however what I can do for my celebration” – that’s how a lot he cherished, lived and breathed the Labour Get together.
To his household, pals, and the Saint Lucia Labour Get together, settle for my sincerest condolences; we now have misplaced a real and trustworthy soldier, Chairman Emeritus.
Relaxation in peace my comrade.”
THE STAR extends honest condolences to the household and pals of Mr. Walcott. Search for our upcoming story the place Writer, Rick Wayne eulogises Mr. Walcott.
