HAMILTON, Bermuda, CMC – The Ministry of Nationwide Safety says it’s working with related authorities to analyze the circumstances that compelled a UK-bound flight to divert to the island with nearly a dozen injured individuals on board on Christmas Eve.
In a press release, the ministry confirmed that emergency providers took the 11 individuals to hospital and that 9 had been launched after therapy.
“At roughly 12.50 am, Maleth Aero Flight 1975, an Airbus A300-200, en route from Barbados to Manchester, skilled extreme turbulence, necessitating an emergency touchdown at LF Wade Worldwide Airport.
“The plane executed a managed touchdown on the island. The flight was transporting 225 passengers and 13 crew members. Emergency medical technicians from the Bermuda Fireplace and Rescue Service greeted the plane to supply preliminary assessments of the passengers and pre-hospital care,” the ministry mentioned.
The ministry mentioned that the plane could be grounded till after a complete inspection to verify its integrity.
