A number of Vincentians have been available on Nov. 16 for the revealing of the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Nationwide Medallions in Manhattan.
“The medallions have been put in alongside the Avenue of the Americas (sixth Avenue) and symbolize the numerous contributions of the immigrant communities to the event of New York Metropolis,” St. Vincent and the Grenadines Consul Basic to the US Rondy “Luta” McIntosh advised Caribbean Life lately.
“Having our title and Coat-of-Arms completely displayed within the best metropolis on earth means quite a bit to us as a small nation, and we do recognize the gesture and recognition,” he added.

McIntosh mentioned St. Vincent and the Grenadines Nationwide Medallions will be discovered on the Avenue of the Americas (sixth Avenue), between West 24th and West twenty fifth Avenue, and between West 57th Avenue and West 58th Avenue.
“On behalf of the Consulate Basic, the Authorities and other people of St. Vincent and the Grenadines, we wish to specific our gratitude to the New York Metropolis Mayor’s workplace and the New York Metropolis Division of Transportation for recognizing our blessed nation and the contributions of our Diaspora inhabitants right here in New York Metropolis,” he mentioned.

The Consul Basic mentioned the Mayor’s Workplace for Worldwide Affairs, together with the New York Metropolis Division of Transportation and the Mayor’s Workplace for Immigrant Affairs, held an official press ceremony on Nov. 16, on the southeast nook of sixth Avenue and Grand Avenue in Manhattan, to unveil the nationwide medallions, depicting the emblems of 43 nations and territories from the Western Hemisphere, together with these of St. Vincent and the Grenadines.
McIntosh mentioned attendees included Edward Mermelstein, commissioner for Worldwide Affairs from the Mayor’s Workplace; Emanuel Castro, commissioner for Immigrant Affairs from the Mayor’s Workplace, Ydanis Rodriguez, commissioner of New York Metropolis Division of Transportation, and several other consuls common representing their respective consulates.
