JetBlue Airways has formally launched its continuous service connecting New York’s John F. Kennedy Worldwide Airport to Belize.
Flight JBU2781 marked the inaugural journey on this new route, because it touched down at Belize’s Philip S.W. Goldson Worldwide Airport on Wednesday.
The plane, an Airbus A320, carried over 100 passengers.
It was piloted by Belizean American, Jeffery Smith.
A heat welcome to passengers and crew
To commemorate this milestone, a welcoming ceremony was organized to greet the passengers and crew of JetBlue’s inaugural service.
Anthony Mahler, Belize’s Minister of Tourism and Diaspora Relations, expressed his enthusiasm for JetBlue’s entry into the Belizean market.
He emphasised the numerous impression it’s going to have on the journey and leisure sector in Belize.
Based on Mahler, that is only the start, as efforts at the moment are underway to make sure that “the load elements are to the place [Jetblue] finds it snug”, doubtlessly resulting in route growth.

JetBlue’s new service operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Saturdays.
