An estimated magnitude 3.8 earthquake was reported at 2:06 pm in Jamaica on Sunday, in line with the island’s Earthquake Unit on the College of the West Indies.
Its epicenter was roughly 10 kilometres south of Hope Bay, Portland. Residents in some communities in and round Kingston reportedly felt the tremor. No harm or accidents have been reported.
That is the fourth main quake reported on the island since September. The biggest earthquake in current months occurred on October 30 and had a magnitude of 5.4.
