The inaugural Jamaican Women Leading Hollywood (JWLH) Honors dinner, held on September 28 at Lodge Figueroa, celebrated the achievements of 25 exceptional Jamaican ladies within the leisure trade.
The occasion, organized by the CODA Community and supported by the Jamaica Vacationer Board (JTB), introduced collectively trade leaders, advocates, and abilities to acknowledge their important contributions.
The Hon. Edmund Bartlett, Jamaica’s Minister of Tourism, highlighted the immense expertise inside Jamaica’s arts and tradition neighborhood, each domestically and internationally. “Specifically, there are lots of Jamaican ladies who’ve made a unprecedented influence within the U.S. leisure trade,” he said. “We’re proud for them to characterize us in movie and tv. Among the many distinguished honorees had been Antoinette Clarke, Vice President of Model Leisure at CBS and two-time Emmy Award-winning producer; Antoinette Robinson, recognized for her roles in Pricey White Individuals and The Blackening; Orly Marley, producer of One Love: The Bob Marley Film; Sundra Oakley from One Love: The Bob Marley Film; and Sydnee Winters, Broadway actor famend for her performances in Hamilton and The Lion King.
